Hi, I'm Alyssa!

​I am a natural light, on-location photographer, utilizing a documentary style, candid approach. I'm not focused on posing you and asking you to stare straight at my camera. Don't worry, we will get a few of those, but I want to capture you being you! The smile, the laugh, the connection -- I want it all to be genuine. A photo capturing genuine emotion is much more powerful than a forced smile. 

When I moved across the country almost ten years ago, I left only with what I could shove into my Honda Civic. I quickly realized that all of the other stuff was just that.... "stuff". I knew that I couldn't leave without my camera, my hard drives filled with digital photos and my printed photo albums -- the rest could be replaced. 

Life moves fast. Kids grow up in the blink of an eye. I'd like to help you build a collection of images that tell the story of your unique life. A day at the park, a home birth, or just a regular day at home -- it's all worth capturing. ​

My family photo albums are hands-down my most cherished possessions and I'd love the opportunity to help build yours.
